Located approximately 12 kilometres from Chiang Mai's international airport, the villa boasts a tranquil riverside setting, yet is only a short drive from the heart of Chiang Mai city. Guests will enjoy the calm and romance of the river and the lush greenery of the gardens and grounds, yet can quickly drive into town or venture further afield, perhaps to the nearby areas of Hang Dong and the enormous handicraft and shopping area of Baan Tawai, famous for its furniture, carvings, potteries  and more. Large international style shopping malls are only a few kilometers away.

The Chiang Mai Riverside Villa indulges guests in the luxury of space, with over 800 sqm. of interior areas. Finished to a high standard in antique teak hardwoods with indigenous objets d'art and antiques as well as valuable oriental rugs, the villa enjoys ample natural light. The lush tropical gardens, waterfalls, sala and lotus pond become particularly romantic at night when floodlit, bathing the property in a magical glow. The villa offers:

- A main villa with  four over-sized, air-conditioned bedrooms, two lounges, a large reception and bar area, a dining room that comfortably seats up to fourteen guests, a TV/DVD room and a study with computer access.

- A fifth en-suite bedroom lies in a separate Thai style cottage directly overlooking the banks of the river Ping, beyond the private swimming pool, with a delightful private reading terrace, making it the ideal choice for honeymooners or for teenagers who insist on their "own" part of the villa!

- The third, central Thai style building offers another two bedrooms suitable for children or  maids (these two  rooms are fan-cooled.)

- An outdoor, covered  terrace seating eight guests enjoys views over the Ping river and the private pool, whilst inside dining for up to 14 guests  is possible around the antique hardwood dining table.

- A large and well-equipped "owner's kitchen" will please those keen on cooking their own meals with fresh local Thai produce, with its microwaves, ovens, coffee making machines and toasters, tableware and glasses, whilst a  separate service kitchen is located in the adjoining staff annex. The villa also boasts its own wine cellar, from which a wide selection of carefully chosen and seductive wines may be purchased at cost.

All rooms enjoy views of the river, and the large balcony on the
first floor is a favourite spot from which to observe both local river life and the antics of those in the pool below, making it a perfect spot for lazy sunbathing or a refreshing cocktail in the evening.

The villa offers guests complimentary use of its desktop computer, which is equipped with a printer and internet access. Guests bringing their own laptops will enjoy remaining connected thanks to the villa's private Wi-Fi system. Other modern appliances include a high quality BOSE quadraphonic sound system by the pool,  a stereo system in the lounge and in the Master bedroom,  a 42 inch flat screen TV with home theatre sound and premium international channels, and DVD players.

The Chiang Mai Riverside Villa is fully staffed with a maid (who may prepare meals for you and see to your laundry) and a driver who will be happy to drive you around the area in the villa's own Honda CRV (which is included in the rental - guests need only reimburse fuel costs.) Babysitting and traditional Thai massage may also be arranged.

Airport transfers may be arranged at cost.

23 December - 07 January 14 nights  (min. stay 14 nights).

Discounts are possible on a case by case basis during the low season, or where only a limited number of bedrooms are required.
