Set on the west coast of Koh Phangan (itself an island lying off Koh Samui), and just five minutes' walk  from the main port of Thong Sala, this staffed, four bedroom villa may be rented for a unique Thai island holiday.  The architect of the villa, an Italian designer, has combined western architectural traditions with Thai features amidst a tropical setting.

Guests enter this vacation rental in Thailand  through oversized, beautifully carved,  wooden double doors. The luxury of space is evident, and the exquisite choice of dark wood furniture reflects the Thai accents of the property.

The main lounge area features huge glass windows which immediately connect you with the beautifully landscaped gardens to the front of the villa,  and offers dramatic views of the sea and horizon. Decorated with an array of different textiles and furnishings, this area offers  a large, 47" flat screen television (with satellite channels) and a DVD which also incorporates a high-end sound system. Free Wi-Fi streams through the entire property to keep you connected.

The dining area has a lavish, dark wood table seating eight, connecting with the well-equipped kitchen (that also offers a washing machine.)

The villa boasts four impressively large double bedrooms, each with an adjoining bathroom. The Master bedroom is unique in offering  a private steam room and spa. Two of the bedrooms have their own state of the art 32' flat screen television, DVD players and cable channels. 3 of the 4 bedrooms feature a double bed, whilst the fourth bedroom is furnished with two single beds, ideal for young children or guests.

Life at this Koh Phangan Villa often centres around the magnificent private swimming pool, where guests chill out on one of the luxurious cushioned loungers, taking in the spectacular tropical sunset over the Gulf of Thailand, with picturesque views overlooking Koh Phangan's neighboring island, Koh Samui. Socialize with family and friends in one the many, more than accommodating, communal areas, all of which have been thoughtfully laid out and are cleverly interlinked to create a large open and airy space. Whether your choice is to sit outside in Thailand's glorious sunshine and work on your tan or relax in any one of the air conditioned rooms inside, you will not be disappointed.

The villa staff will ensure the property is kept clean and tidy, and bed linen is changed every third day whilst  towels are changed as required. Private tours can be arranged, as can car and motorcycle hire. For the ultimate arrival, a private speedboat can collect you  from Samui airport  and whisk you to the villa.

Thong Sala is easily accessed and offers convenient shopping and  dining options. The many beautiful beaches of this small tropical island, as well as its dramatic and colourful reefs, are a quick ride away and make either diving, snorkeling or simply beachcombing an entertaining prospect. Koh Ma and Than Sadet national parks are nearby, as is the  famous Ang Thong archipelago. Boat tours, fishing trips, temples, rainforests, waterfalls, Thai cooking classes,  yoga,  meditation and herbal steam saunas will all compete for your time during your vacation on this unique tropical island.
